Recently I stopped by to tour the Hollywood Heritage Museum. Among the exhibits and collections of silent film memorabilia, was Cecil B. DeMille's office, complete with furnishings, type writer, film scripts but also his two fedora hats.

One was a vintage Stetson from the thirties. It was the quality fur felt you would expect.
The second fedora, however, was a surprise.
From a distance it appeared to be silver belly. Upon closer examination, this pinch front fedora was made from a muted plaid linen. A beautiful hat! And certainly an option for summer and spring wear if you don't happen to be into straw.
I have never seen a linen fedora like this before.
Has anyone else?
