Hey Art - Is there any way you can post some photos of the finished products, or better yet, of some of the vets after receiving their hats? Don't mean to add to your work load, but that would really be a huge dose of holiday spirit for some of us. Christmas where I live is usually just another 70-degree day, so I have to try harder than most to feel the holiday vibe. I've never been so excited to give stuff away in my life. Thanks, Frank

Great idea Frank!
By the way, 30 degrees on Christmas Eve and Day is fine, but I could go for a 70 degree day sometime soon now.

Will do Sir. I'm sure the Rep won't mind pics. The last time we did this we also received a really nice letter from him thanking us for the hats so I expect it again.

Here are the first 18 with 3 on the finishing bench and at least 6 more still expected. The top right is not one of the clunkers but rather a new prototype.
Pretty cool eh Frank?

Nutria blend? :flame: When? Where?

...I feel faint

New thread coming soon Rabbit & Tom. Right now all I'd want to say is that I'm working on a blend that will give the other "ruggeds" a run for their money by blending rabbit, nutria and beaver. I will basically survey the opinions here to see if it will fly before making the felt run that it will require.

Gentlemen, I delivered 40 hats to the VA today. the gent pictured above is James Cunningham, VA public relations Director for Southern Oregon . The second pic is of a vet that was there when I arrived, helped load them in, and along with a cohort proceeded to find one his size. The excitement was pretty cool to see. By the time I left I couldn't get back to the table for all the people having a good time trying on hats.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of your response to this request folks. I let them know I would not be doing it every year for fear of it getting old so lets try this again in two years. In the mean time, from the Vets here in Southern Oregon and especially myself..

Thank you

And THANK YOU Art!

You put a lot of work into those hats getting ready to wear, not to mention the communications and transporting.....

I have done a few things like this myself, the behind the scenes work can be more than you think when you start...

Thanks again ....
