One of the most incredible sport coats I have come across, this is made of heavy camel hair cloth, which has a wonderful soft and pleasing handle, as well as being extremely warm.
Downright luxurious.

Unfortunately it is a tad too tight for me, and I am streamlining the ol' wardrobe.

The cut is very reminiscent of the 1930s, having a nipped in waist, moderately wide lapels, no vent and even an old fashioned label, but the pocket lining seems synthetic, so I suspect the jacket is not quite as old as that. Likely 70s-80s.

The only flaw is a small area on one of the hip pockets where the nap has been flattened and you can see the weave of the cloth:

No size labels, but the measurements suggest a 40 Long.
  • Armpit to armpit 22 inches
  • sleeve length 26 inches
  • waist 19.5 inches
  • overall length from bottom of collar 32 inches
  • shoulder width 18.5 inches

£40 or $61.7 plus postage.

Thank you for looking and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Just my size. I take it!

It was made between 1969 when Indian tailor Mohan opened store in Hong Kong, and 1972, the year he moved to New York.

Dang, I've seen it too late. Please tell me there was no seam allowance to lengthen the sleeves.

If there is the sleeve allowance Rudi needs, I will pass and let him have it.
It's not as if I am short on sportcoats.
