Calling on all AERO "Happy Days" Jacket owners...

So, assuming Aero can accommodate the slightly wider waist, it is ordered and on its way.

Denny from Aero just emailed me and they can add the extra inch across the waist, so my (custom) size 42 "Happy Days" is definitely ordered, with the deposit paid, and is officially in the Aero production line. :D

Last minute alteration - I have requested that the pockets be angled like this:

I prefer this more angled position of the pockets to the more vertical design on the "Happy Days":

Denny has said he will do that for me.

A question on correct sleeve length.

I was looking at some pictures on Aero's website and came across a couple of lengths of sleeves for cuffed jackets.

This first picture shows the leather coming very low (almost to the wrist) and the cuff almost being completely tucked up under the leather:

This second picture shows what I would more consider the correct length, with the leather ending shorter and the cuff more exposed:

What in your opinion is the correct length?

The actual cuffs on the jacket below are longer than the one above by about an inch (the knits) that might give the appearance of tunneling that is actually not present.

On the other page, the Aero Bronco A-2 in the upper photo was sold to me. I just measured the knit cuff of the Aero Bronco at 2" and the cuff of my G&B Model 43 A-2 was measured at 3". The distance from shoulder seam to end of knit for both is 27". The difference between the two is illustrated in a couple of old pics. There is no tunneling present, and the 27" sleeve length is my sweet spot for both. Although the Aero Bronco is labeled as size 44, and the G&B as size 40, the G&B is actually a full size bigger than the Aero. So, it's all about measurements rather than labels.

I would go with the straight ahead classic FQHH brown, DD. The depth of colour is amazing, and the patina and grading it develops over time is fantastic. I've never read anyone who's been disappointed by it. Seal for your next one! ;)

I should have listened to you in the first place Sloan. I could have saved myself and you guys all those posts..!
(It was a fun journey though - at least for me!)

Glad to see another Aussie enjoying these great products of Scotland!
They should ship these with a complimentary bottle of single malt for the trouble we go to from halfway around the world!
Congrats Dave, look forward to fit pics when it arrives.

Looks great and look forward to the fit pics. Appears you altered the angle of the slash pockets from ~vertical to ~45 degrees.
