California Sportswear Goatskin-Old Goat

I was looking for a goatskin I could wear and this came along on ebay. I was much interested in the Aero goatskin sold here, but it wasn't going to fit. This one was dry but responded well to conditioning. Sewed on a couple of buttons. I wear a 44. This jacket could pass as a 46. I did not have a button up jacket so another plus. Nice two button sleeves.

Very sharp jacket. The goat looks really nice, seems to be a fairly thick hide? Any idea of the age? What type of conditioner did you use on it?

No I would not say thick. More light weight with the light lining. I would say it is from the 50s. They used several colors in their labels. Perhaps someone will have a more accurate idea. Very nice hide in excellent condition. I have several other Goat jackets in small sizes so nice to have one to wear.

I love the warm dark brown look of that leather. The color reminds me a lot of a 40s belted leather jacket that i have. A handsome, easy wearing brown with a little pop.
