Cagleco Ralph Edwards half belt jacket

I'm wondering if I could get some opinions on the date of manufacture for this jacket. Its an oxblood horsehide Cagleco Ralph Edwards half belt:

I'm not sure how I feel about the oxblood color, as I prefer brown. Also, I could probably do without the shoulder stitching. However I really like the other styling elements, and the fact that it is 34 inches long. I was on the fence, so I bid low and picked it up for $100 Maybe not the deal of the century but I think its pretty solid considering its advertised as mint.

That is a very good deal. Nice 1950's long half-belt pattern. Is it a 44 or a 46?

It seems like a 42 based on the measurements.
It was simply advertised as medium, with pit to pt--23, shoulders 19, and sleeve length 25. Just a hair too large as I think a 22 inch pit to pit would have worked a little better.

Cagleco/Ralph Edwards made G-1 jackets for the Navy. From what I've read, the company started using the name Ralph Edwards on G-1 labels in 1960. Interestingly, your jacket has both Cagleco and Ralph Edwards on the label so perhaps this jacket was made during this transient period in the company (1959-60)?
