Cafe jacket with pockets for armor

I've owned an Aero, Alexander Leather and Johnson Leather jackets. Currently in the market for a FUNCTIONAL motorcycle jacket and having a hard time buying anything I see in the Moto shops. Here's what I'm looking for:

1. Good solid thick hide (brown, distressed, etc)
2. Ability to insert armor (existing pockets would be best / elbow, shoulder and back)
3. Off the shelf sizing is fine. The custom jacket ordering process just takes too long and my body fits off the shelf just fine.
4. Relatively tight arm holes with zipper at wrist. My current Johnson cafe style jacket has too much room around the wrists, air comes in through the wrist openings and the jacket balloons up.
5. SIMPLE cafe racer style cut.

Please help me find something off the shelf that I can order and still use this riding season. Size is a 40R.

I would look at Vanson leathers.

Cool... sent them an email with the requirements and looking for their recommendations. Looking at the site, there are a LOT of options.

Any other brands I should check out?

OTR, armored and made for riding— Vanson is the only one I would consider. When you have an idea of the route you want to go with Vanson post it here for more feedback, if you like. Many Vanson owners round these parts.

Quick question, can’t JL somehow tighten, or allow you to tighten, the cuff? I don’t know, or maybe line the cuff in mouton, the same way Cal Leather does?

Rev'it do some fantastic jackets. I know that Revzilla carries them in the States.

My immediate thought was Vanson, but maybe also look at Roland Sands Design?
