c.1933-1935 Crofut & Knapp Homburg

This hat is in remarkable shape for its age. Every stitch is intact to the point of the basting stitches on the ribbon still there, and no mothing. There are stains on the hat, which should be removed through a proper cleaning (I don't have the ability for such a process, but from research it shouldn't be too difficult.

The hat is a grey color with hints of blue undertones. The ribbon is black, and contrasted with a lighter brim binding to really set this hat apart.

The size is tagged at a 7 3/8, with the circumference being around 22.75"

Behind the unreeded sweatband, there is a NRA (National Recovery Act) tag, placing this hat to be from the c.1933-1935 time period. This example is a wonderful piece of history with many years ahead of it.

Asking $165 shipped within US. Will ship outside US for extra

If I bought this I'd have it turned into a fedora myself... sinful to Hommie lovers I'm sure.

I have to pay for some brakes tomorrow or I'd buy it now. Beautiful C&K!

Thats exactly what I'm planning in doing with it. It's a tad large, but i don't mind shimming 'er up until I find a buyer. My old chamois conversion turned out amazingly well, this being stained makes an even better candidate.

Thanks for the break reminder, I need to realllly do mine sooner or later.. with more weight on soon

I could do the brakes myself, but I'm getting lazier as I get older and anything more than disc brakes these days I find to be a real pain in the neck. In fact, I found some pads in my garage a few weeks back, that I bought years ago on a sale, so I did the front brake job then. Been doing brakes and other mechanical work with my Dad since about 1974/75. Dad is gone now, but the work remains...
