Buy-It-Now "CITATION" Fedora

How to resist a Buy-It-Now option on an intriguing fedora? I've read here about the mysterious "Citation" hat brand, and it seemed worthwhile. (Could it really be lavender? Hope not!)

What's your guess on the date? 1950s? And did I do the right thing?

Say what you will...

...but this is a fine looking hat! It appears to be in great shape, definitely a unique color, certainly not offensive and sports a really nice pleated bow. If it were a 7¼, I would have snapped it up at that price. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I think that you did VERY well, indeed!

I look forward to seeing what you pair this with and anticipate photos!

Your hat is is older than that . It's the first Citation hat I've seen . Probably 1940's or late 1930's .
When I get a chance , I'll look through my Hat life collection and check when the hat was made .

Looks like it has one of those wind trolley cords! That points to a ways back!

Post pix of the liner and such when you get it.

Match it up with the right suit / ensamble and that is gonna cook!

Very unusual.Never saw that color before.

Could very well be one-of-a-kind!
Would look nice with a blue suit and a lavender shirt and/or tie combination.
Those "Buy it Now" deals can really pay off.

Being the instigator of the Citation discussion, I can assure you that this is an excellent hat. I don't mean a very good hat, I mean an excellent hat.

I remains my favorite - over my Stetsons and my Borsolino.

I would have been all over that hat had it been in my size.

I like this hat. I think it is very well styled. Sometimes you just need to own something, even if you are not going to wear it. I would definitely bring it anytime Loungers get together.
