I started working on a 120G FEPSA bone color pure beaver yesterday, blocked for 7 1/4" hat size with a open crown of 5.5" to start with. I am still working out the details to this creation, so far I am thinking about a soft tan color leather sweatband and a 1.5" wide hat band made with lite to medium color brown, blue or gold satin liner with a 2 7/8" or 3" wide brim, flat or 1/2" pencil curl. This one is another hat that is not being made for someone, just something to keep me busy working, thinking and trying something new.

Where did you get the 120gr FEPSA beaver? Tim stocks 95gr in beaver and 120gr in rabbit.

I made a hat for my wife, it is almost finished, I still need to put a pencil curl in the brim. The color of the felt is a tan, the satin liner is white, the hat band is 1 1/2" wide grosgrain ribbon in a wine color, the telescope crown is 4" high and the brim is 3 1/8" wide, the 2" wide leather sweatband is a medium brown color, hat size is 7 1/8", I plan to put a 3/8" or 1/2" pencil curl in the brim, something that will give the brim a little strength and if she wants to, she can give the brim a slight turn down in front. This is the hat that she wanted me to make for her, here is a few photos of the hat for you to look at. It is a gambler style which is fitting since she use to deal black jack on one of the river boat casinos in Indiana. Let me know how it looks? View attachment 617768

Every detail requires attention, patience and precision, especially when it comes to elements such as curves and lining. The wine-colored band goes well with the warm shade of the felt, and the shape gives the hat style and character. This is exactly the kind of hat I imagine for a trip to the casino, although I have never been there. I am just starting to learn about this industry about roulette simulator based on the review. It is very cool that it was made at the request of the wife - it makes it even more special. With the addition of a pencil curve, it will look even more impressive!
She looks just incredible. I never understood how this could be created by human hands. Although I am subscribed to a person on Instagram who makes all sorts of horror and rocker hats and I saw the whole process of work. This is really hard to do. Great job!

I didn't buy the 120G FEPSA beaver from Tim.

I have been looking for different shades of brown, mainly looking for Sable color in beaver.
I know that Tim carries the brownsugar, & I have a couple buckskin color, a silver belly, 2 dark navy blue, all are FEPSA Rabbit.
