I have read in other threads also the dislike of black shoes. Why is this? I wear greys and navy's in suits, never brown because it is not a color that works on me. And I have always worn only black shoes and belts. To my eye brown clashes with navy and black looks good.

Black shoes are a good viable option. It's not everyone that likes brown with everything, though I tend to wear brown shoes with everything.

they should never be left out asa wardrobe options if you have gray or navy suits in your wardrobe.
