Now this looks funny. I watched the trailer and it made me laugh out loud, so I can't wait to see the whole thing.

A black comedy about two 19th century grave robbers who find a lucrative business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school. Based on the true story about the famous murderers, 'Burke And Hare' follows the hapless exploits of these two men as they fall into the highly profitable business of providing cadavers for the medical fraternity in Nineteenth Century Edinburgh, then the centre of medical learning. The one thing they were short of was bodies.

I am looking forward to this! I love Simon Pegg.

Me too! I'm hoping this is good! The costumes and settings look well researched. Stirling Castle is doubling for the streets of Edinburgh, since the city's Old Town and Royal Mile are full of tacky tartan gift shops these days.

David Tennant was originally cast as William Hare but had to drop out shortly before filming began because NBC, for whom he had recently shot a TV pilot, declined to release him to shoot the film for fear of scheduling problems if the pilot was picked up early.

Thought this was an interesting bit of trivia. It would be interesting to see how he would have done with this material.

Cheers!
