At least for the felts they produce for Optimo, they are using wild beaver and hare. I imagine Graham has his felts made to his specifications, so all of their felts might not be wild furs. But they have the capacity to make them.

Now I wonder if FEPSA is using "hare" or rabbit or both...?

I know they recommend their LLX quality which is 100% Hare for Velour, Satin and Melusine finishes.

Brad Bowers posted this 1924 Crofut & Knapp "Where Fur Comes From" a while ago. I think this is a good guide for pre WWII hats although the recommended Coney types don't match exactly with German sources I have come across (they were especially down on Australian furs).
