I love my bumpits I think they're great for the mornings I really don't want to think about my hair. I just back comb a little stick one in and I'm ready for work. Also, I was never able to do the beehive ponytail thing, so I love them for that too!

Word of caution: Ladies with ultra fine hair. I saw a girl with lovely fine hair with a bumpit but I knew it was a bumpit because I could see the comb in her hair.

thats true, women wit fine hair SHOULDNT WEAR THEM!!!!. There was a lady at my store with a bump it and it looked like a skate board ramp with spikes on it lol...but all in all i love them i use the medium all the time. Great for night time. The largest one sucks...it made me look like a sexy dinosaur lollol

I bought bumpits!!!!

I'm now figuring out what to do with them actually,
they look nice when I wear my hair loose but if the wind catches my hair my bumpit is gonna show.

I now tryed with a lot of hairspray on it, I only put a bumpit on my crown and put a headband in

I just bought a different kind of Bumpits at CVS - Conair Hi-Styles. It was much cheaper than Bumpits. I haven't really tried it yet, but I've been doing a basic 60s style lately - top pulled back in a barrette and pushed forward for volume, then secured with a bobby pin. I wear the sides and back down and turned up in a flip using a straight iron, with my long bangs down and swept to the side. I think this accessory will make it a lot easier to get even volume on the top.

The next time I do this, I'll try to remember to post pics for the 60s hairstyles thread.

They look exactly the same, I didn't use my bumpits a lot, but this thread is a reminder that I still have them, maybe I try a style with my bumpits this week.

They're a little different in that they have comb teeth on the bottom that face front and back, not little nubs that face down. I think this helps give it a more secure hold. It's also more practical if you just want one for only a few dollars. I don't really need 3 or 4 Bumpits!

When i took a look at the picture a little closer I saw indeed the comb teeth on the bumpit, that is very handy.
And you are totally right about all the bumpits, I only use 1 size

I have pretty thick hair and I still feel like i can see the sunshine glowing through it... Hahah. I just use a cheaper approach of getting an old hair net and stuffing it with fake hair. I just use that as a rigged "bumpit" and i don't have to worry about seeing spikes poking out or looking like I have Zak Galifinakis' beehive with the light shining through.
