Founded in 1853 in San Francisco by Frank D. Bullock and John Luther Jones to capitalize on the new-found wealth of the Gold Rush Bullock & Jones was for many years the main rival to Cable Car Clothiers--albeit in department store form!
They closed in 2000... But then re-opened in 2004 at a much smaller location under new management. This, too, has now closed and they now exist as an online-only retailer.
This jacket dates from their glory days when they were located at Union Square, San Francisco.
Constructed of lightweight cotton blend (cotton, lycra and polymide), this jacket has a lovely gingham-esque patterning and colorway, a blend of black, grey and cream.
A contemporary two button model, this jacket is half-canvassed and fully lined with a single center vent, and four button cuffs.
Made in the USA. Excellent condition.
