I have forgotten what prime time entertainment was like.
When my bother and I (preteen) went to our grand parents house every Friday it was the same routine playing cards. While we played we listened and watched Hee' Haw, Lawrence Welk and The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast. Not sure the order, only the Dean Martin was latest.
Man those were the days everybody was smoking on late night (10 pm) t.v. Now its fly by nite and one hit wonders not people w/ talent.
Back in the day those guy/gals just showed up and broke it down!
Now its glitz and body suits w/ lots of skin one hit wonders, not people w/ talent.
Performers who would share the stage w/ others.
They were men and women who were not me first and thought they were competing. They just performed.
In contrast everybody today is promoting themselves.
