I'm honored to be the most recent caretaker of this ~75 year old jacket. Many thanks to the seller who was fantastic to work with. Her husband was a jacket collector and purchased the jacket with no chance to wear because of sizing. Our good friend @jeo turned me on to this jacket and I really appreciate his advice. Jon is a true gentleman. My first vintage jacket and happy to be the most recent owner. I thought you folks could appreciate this jacket for its heritage and the condition that has brought it to me. I humbly accept and plan to pass it on to another jacket enthusiast.

I saw that jacket on the flesh. Beautiful people to deal with. If you need any help with getting a reproduction belt. Please view one of my thread under collar mouton. Several members have contributed several images containing the proper hardware to recreate an excellent reproduction. Not that hard, really. Here is a nice boston 6605 https://www.ebay.com/itm/2565361857...RpEv4V/pOxV6Z+HPp3cPcXDQ==|tkp:Bk9SR_qumffqZA

Glad I was able to connect you and that you bought it Mark! Wear and enjoy it in good health my friend! It’s a true gem, a museum piece really given its condition.

Thanks Jon. I really appreciate your knowledge and expertise. Connecting me to this jacket was above and beyond. I realize that this jacket is a rare specimen and deserves great care. It is definitely not a daily wear jacket for me, but I can't help but get it out and about. My hope is to wear it for years and then be able to pass it along to the next who will hopefully do the same.

Thank you, Brother.

This thread got me thinking - you acquire an absolute gem like this AND it fits.. What do you do? Try to keep the condition pristine, protect it as much as possible and don't wear it much at all? Or do you wear the F out of it? I mean sure most folks here have a huge jacket rotation, but this kind of jacket COULD be the one that finally makes you thin your herd to a few and sit on top as the king(queen? a jacket is female in my language) and daily driver because the others can't compare to it (exaggerating obviously).
