Brooks CR. Glad I read about sizing

my new Brooks Cafe Racer showed up at the hotel today(headed home next week). I had read that you needed to go up a couple sizes to get a good fit. I’m a 46 but finally found a nice example on the bay in size 50. It fits really well through the shoulders and chest and is a bit longer than my Langlitz Cascade. I have a zipper question, were the sleeve zippers Nynco, or do you think they were replaced?

Zippers could've been anything at all, whatever they've been using at the moment. There's for the most part no rule to these jackets. In any case, you can easily tell if they've been replaced. If there are no stray stitch holes, you're good. As for the sizing... That's a first I hear you have to size up in Brooks?

I wear a size up in Brooks and I'm a slim build.

I typically wear a size 40 and own a Brooks good label 40. Fits great.

Ok, thanks Monitor. I don’t see any aftereffects of someone sewing in new zippers. They must be original.

I should have my old 1970 Guzzi back together next week. The Brooks should feel right at home while riding warm days.

I'm really a 46" chest but also take a 50 in Brooks sizing.
