Brim unsnapped on fedora?

I'm finding that I prefer to keep the brim up on my fedoras. It's almost like I want to Homburg-ize them. Does anyone else wear their trilbies and fedora with the brim equally up all around the hat?

Movie and rock stars seem to.

If anything, I'd like to wear them with the brim flipped down all around. Give it kind of a European flare.

That's one...

...of the great things about fedoras. You can have them

Up all the way around: Kid Rock

Down all the way around: Indiana Jones

Down in front, up in back: Dick Tracey

Up in front, down in back: Johnny Depp.

i like to have mine down in the front, and up in the back. Having it up all around makes me feel like an old man, and having it down all round makes me feel like a safari hat. [huh] of course, that's just me and anyone can wear it anyway they want. Some people actually look better with it up in the front, or with both down, or with a Hollywood-style brim like Johnny Depp (and Indycop) does sometimes. Just depends on how you look, and what you feel comfortable with I guess.

oh yeah, most of my brims don't look right all up anyway because of the way my long-oval head makes the brim curl on my regular-oval hats anyway.

Oh, yes quite often. It cuts down on the Indiana Jones comments but I recently got a Crazy Guggenheim comment. If the sun is out at all I snap the brim down.

I've recently discovered that I don't particularly care for brim down if it is a dimensional brim.
