I thought of this thread while reading the "Casino Royale" thread.

I thought it would be useful to construct a database of all of the brands that have been directly associated with James Bond, in the movies, though the entire series: Suits, Champagne, Watches, Cars, Phones, Drinks, Whatever.

Please site the film associated with it.

I'll get us started with Bollinger Champagne referenced in Goldfinger, Goldeneye, and again in Casino Royale.

What will you add?

Brosnan's suits were made by Brioni, as I recall.

Then there are the watches:

Connery:
Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger ...........................- Rolex Submariner
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice

Lazenby:
OHMSS: a Rolex Submariner and a Rolex Daytona.

Moore:
Live and Let Die: a Rolex Submariner and a Pulsar Quartz LCD.
The Man With the Golden Gun: a Rolex Submariner and a Rolex Cellini.

The Spy Who Loved Me
Moonraker
For Your Eyes Only......... - Seiko digital (not sure of the model, but what were they thinking?)
Octopussy
A View to a Kill

Dalton:
Back to the Rolex Submariner for both The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill.

Brosnan:
Goldeneye
Tomorrow Never Dies..........- Various models of
The World Is Not Enough.....- Omega Seamaster.
Die Another Day

Craig:
Casino Royale: It's another Omega Seamaster.

You're absolutely right, Doc, I read that too. Now, do we have confirmation on the tuxedo in Casino Royale? That was the most remarkable fit tuxedo I have ever seen, much like he was dipped in black ink.

Plus the .25 Beretta that he exchanges for the PPK at the beginning of Doctor No.

Let's not forget the Ford Mondeo, that odd looking car he drives in Casino Royale before he gets the Vanquish.

Just as a side note about the Walther P99, if you don't own and are going to buy a real one, do watch your thumb webbing. The P99 is notorious for it's slide bite.

Lobb. John Lobb...

Apparently Bond wears Lobb's 'Luffields' in CR

How unsurprising is this? Fine, fine footwear. Some very vintage, including ladies' too.

BTW, the prêt a porter version of the Brioni dinner suit can be bought at Harrods for £2,995.

(Oh, and Hom make very nice pants!)

Unless you have hands the size of bear claws, I think you are confusing this with the 'slide bite' of the PPK. Your hand would have to be enourmous to sit 1/2" higher and around and above the end of the frame tang on a P99.

Actually I do own an Aston Martin DB7. Unreliable and expensive ba***rd but such a beauty.
But the only real Bond car I´ve owned was a humble Renault 11, 22 years ago... Stolen from a taxi driver by Roger Moore and driven during a wild chase through Paris in "A View to a Kill". The car is completely destroyed and Grace Jones gets away.

Anyway, other cars driven by Bond:

Aston Martins:
DB5 in Goldfinger, Thunderball, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies and Casino Royale.
DBS V8 in On Her Majesty´s Secret Service
V8 and V8 Volante in The Living Daylights
Vanquish in Die Another Day
DBS in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace

Lotus Esprit S1,
BMW Z3, 750i Protection and Z8
Mustang Mach 1

IMHO the best Bond stunt so far is the spiral jump with the Hornet in "The Man With The Golden Gun"

THe nicest car I've seen any Bond drive was Connery's 1937 Bentley 4.5 litre, in Never Say Never Again. I believe this model was chosen for various reasons, not least that it is what Bond drove in the original books?
