Brand new Truman Boots, black horsehide (10EE)

I just got these from a recent MTO they had, but alas they are a bit too tight for me. Brand new, only tried on for sizing indoors. These boots represent Truman at their best I think: an amazing horsehide leather from Maryam tannery in Italy, tight and well built throughout, and back to their original (Viberg style) stitched-down construction. The latter has become rare for them.

Marked size is 10EE, but they don't feel esp wide to me, so I would say more like a 10D/E.

The horsehide, stitchdown, cap toe, and half sole were all add-ons, so the boots were expensive. Total cost was $640 (ouch). But I will immediately knock off $120, if anyone is interested. So, asking $520 to me (Paypal F&F), plus $15 shipping CONUS. It hurts to take a hit like that, but I've learned from experience that there's no sense in keeping boots that don't fit..

My phone pics are not great. Here's a glamour shot from Truman (with slightly different options than my boots). They really are pretty darn cool.

I would probably take them if they were real ee but sounds like they would not be wide enough for me. Didn't Truman stand behind it's product? I was going to buy boots from them but now....

I took a chance, knowing their return policy, which is that any special ordered boots or anything other than D widths are returnable only for exchange credit. Stock boots are returnable for refund I believe. So I could return these for credit I guess, but not sure I want to do that.

Likewise, I think they're probably a little long and narrow for me (9.5 true EE) but such nice boots I'd be tempted to try them...

FYI, a couple of people who know more about Truman sizing than I do have told me that their EE is definitely wider than what most folks would call a D width. So, I'll say these probably feel more like a 10E. (I am a horrible person to estimate boot sizing, as my arches are freakishly high, and everything feels more narrow to me than it is I guess.)
