bra question

I think this is the number one greatest thing that I have ever seen! I am also one of you who can't do strapless bras! I've tried the longline (I'm a 40D) and no no no way! I was at a wedding dancing and with every step I worried that I would flash someone and I ended up by dancing with my hands over the tops of my breasts all night :(
Not a good look, nor very comfortable!

SO I tried to order those clear straps from the website and when I get to the end part, where you order, I get HTML markup language!! I can't order them :eusa_doh: Does anyone have any suggestions?
Am I doing something wrong? I signed up, logged in, etd...
I tried it just now to see and it seemed to work. Sometimes I have gotten that message too and I have gone back and done it again. I placed a large order there when I posted their site and got my parcel in about 2 days. Anyway, Martina, if you simply can't complete the order for some reason I have an extra package I can send you, no problem.

Getting a BRA fitting

I went to Penny's and signed up for a fitting; it was the best thing I have ever done! The woman was older than I am, so it wasn't too embarrassing and she knew ALL the bras!
I told her what I was looking for: style, fit, etc.

Basically you undress, raise your arms, swallow your pride, and get measured. Then it's done!

We then went out into the store together after that and she directed me to 4 different bra styles & names. I took one from each area.

Then I tried each one on, finally choosing the one I liked best. I now have that bra in 4 different colors!!

I would suggest a bra fitting for EVERY woman! Do you know that it took literally POUNDS and YEARS off my figure! When I next saw my mother, while wearing my new bra, she asked me "Why do you look so... perky?" WOOOHOOO! That's the nicest thing you could ask a woman with 44 year old breasts!
Plus, I have to confess to a little added bonus: with the right bra, your posture is so much better! I'm not sure if it's from carrying the 'weight' up a little higher in the front or from just knowing that they look 'perky' but I know I am walking much straighter!

CONFESSION: Every time I think of my mother looking at me suspiciously asking that question it makes me giggle! I feel sort of like Rudolph when the little reindeer girl tells him he's CUTE. Remember that? He jumps up in the air, giggling and hollering, 'She thinks I'm CUTE! She thinks I'm CUTE!', except that I'd be hollering, 'She called them PERKY! She called them PERKY!'

BegintheBeguine, Thanks so much for your offer.... that's so sweet of you!

On the conspiciouschics site, do you just click the CONTINUE button at the bottom of your 'basket' page?

That's when I get the html and it's still doing it to me! I can make the hubby try, on his computer, later on and see if I have any better luck though.

If I have any more issues I'll either PM you (if you don't mind) or email them.
They have some very cute lipsticks on there too!

well, a lot of dept stores sell them and there are lots of places online. if the one site you're trying doesn't work, do a search for "clear bra straps" and try someplace else.

Aw, anytime. 46 lipsticks later, yes, you do keep clicking CONTINUE. My parcel arrived in 2 days. I've ordered from her 4 times now and it's always lightning fast and accurate, even with an order of 46 different items.

I couldn't find a thread specifically about bullet bras so thought I'd ask here. I love the authentic silhouette they give but have never bought one because I have a large bust (36DD) and thought it would look too cartoonish. Now I'd like to get one and I'm hoping that it could look cartoonish in a Jayne Mansfield kind of way but some people I know have the opinion that it will attract unwanted attention (specifically from the nasty people that feel the need to comment or laugh) and are begging me not to buy one! What do you larger bust ladies feel about wearing these bras? Does anybody wear one everyday to work or is it a special occasion/weekends etc preference?

Now I don't have as large a bust as you but I have experimented with more pointy bras in an every day situation. For a sort of in between trial, you could get a Triumph Doreen (or M&S do a very similar one, in the "full cup" bra section), or more pointy, but not so much as a bullet bra, What Katie Did do a more 40s cut bra. I know a good few retro girls who wear the Doreen as it gives a vintagesque pointy shape without being too obvious or cartoonish.

I´m a 36 D, so not as big-chested as you, but not on the small side either. I think like that: Since people stare on my chest all the time anyway (I don´t notice it anymore, but my boyfriend does *lol*) it doesn´t really matter to me if they stare cause it´s a bit pointy or cause it´s so big. Triumph bras are great for daily use though!

I've been looking for something like this "merry widow" for ages. I've got a really narrow back measurement 30FF so find it almost impossible to find anything vintage that fits.
Has anyone ever found a vintage garment that is less than 32" on the band measurement? The closest I've got so far is the 1960's Figurette bra that I'm wearing in my avatar that I got in a 30F but I can't seem to find anything from the 50's.......... did they not make bands that small then?

You will look cartoonish.
I have a vintage long line bullet in a 44D (I need to take it in its loose in fit but..) and I look ridiculous lol

I think Im gonna soften the points of the bra cause its just too much. The bullet bra is one vintage item that just wont translate well to modern times.

This is when you will wish you were in So Cal...

In a small shop in Monrovia Ca......they do fittings and have all sorts of rare sizes...

I have not been...but my mom and various other folks have....highly recommended...

Sadly the name is semi embarassing......The Wizard of Bras...:eusa_doh:

Neecerie I love that store. When I was having such a horrible time finding a bra that fit I spotted the giant parachute bra in the window. I knew if they had that bra then they definatley have my size. That's where I got my first fitting in a looooong time and learned the horrible truth of being a 38h or a
40G. The only down fall is how expensive bras in my size cost :( :(

I've seen Triumph Doreen bras but wasn't sure of the effect it would give. As you say I think I'll try that out before the full blown bullet bra look. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll go bra shopping tomorrow after work. Oh and Fleur your new icon is gorgeous!

I figured as much lol I'm amazed you found a vintage bra in that size, I'm struggling to find ones in mine.
