Bowler hats with jeans and t-shirts

I love the pictures. The area I live in is growing rapidly, but remains somewhat rural. I live in a nice neighborhood within a half mile of a large alpaca farm, a ranch and several horsing stables. It's a funny mix of suburb and rural. I think the bowler will fit right in and, while opinions might vary, I liked the way it fit my face.

Will definitely share pictures if Santa decides to drop one under the tree.

If you want an honest opinion: I don't think it is a good look. Maybe some Johnny Depp guy can pull it of with some hobo accesoires. But Just a modern jeans an t-shirt? Nope.

I don't wear mine with jeans or tee shirt. Personally I think they go fine with wool pants and a button down shirt. It doesn't have to be costume (My honest opinion of strict vintage wearers), not that there is anything wrong with that. Also stiff felts were worn in many different ways in the past.

Actually I take that back. I have worn some of my heavily worn / old stiff felts with a tee shirt and sweat pants. They are great bad weather head gear (see shoveling snow). It's just a damn hat in the end!

There are no rules on this or any dress matter, just conventions or taste. I personally would wear a wider brim in hot weather.

Actually had 4 people come up and tell me the bowler was very nice at the mall this past Saturday. Jeans and long sleeve t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
