Brand new! Nice. Now tie it and show us how it looks on you.
Uggh, I'll try.....
Hi folks,
I'm thinking of trying the bow tie out, and was wondering about the different shapes/sizes. I know that hats look best when proportioned to your face and body structure, and through some reading I've been doing on the bow tie I've gleaned an idea that there is a similar consideration. I'm 5'10", 200 lbs, neck size is 16. What type/size of bow tie should I be looking for for daily wear? The ones I found in my grandpa's drawer look like the standard butterfly variety, measures 2 3/4".
They will most likely be an everyday-wear item. Thanks all!

Yesterday at an Independence Day party, we were chatting with my GF's niece, who is a local award-winning designer. My GF suggested she could make some bow ties for me. Of course, I thought this was a good idea! She very nicely agreed! Now...I'm wondering what kind of fabric I should search for? She told me silk is probably going to be hard to find locally and might have to be ordered online. I'm thinking there are other fabrics than silk that would be fine for a bow tie. Any thoughts or suggestions?
