I got the stitching out. I now have a beautiful borsalino visor and skullcap. It looks like they cut away a big strip of felt, because the two halves don't line up anywhere, and the crown's still pretty low.

Dinerman, What a disapointment that it was not in original condition; an even bigger disapointment when you tried to restore it. I feel your pain. Oh yeah, you remember my previous post about three Loungers who wanted to bid on it? Well...
