I find it interesting that both mine and Vic’s “Angora” are $10 hats

possibly an earlier piece than I had suspected ?

Very interesting. Hard to imagine the angoras being cheaper hats to produce. Maybe they were cheaper because there was less demand for them?

Borsalino Thirty in Sfinge (Sfinx) colour. Model is called Ta/Ludora. Bound brim at 7cm and crown at 10,5 cm at the pinch. Felted ribbon. Mid to late fifties. Sold for thirty dollars by Rothschilds; this was not a cheap hat.
