As far as I am concerned you are to be congratulated and encouraged in all that you do. You are a Herefordshire Beacon (that's a hill walking pun) in a world of sporting clothing that seems to be going down hill (sic).

I salute you for wanting to extend your already impressive range with alternative styles and looser cuts. Having said that, I hope you continue to offer for years to come the traditional trim British sporting tweed styles that look so good in your gallery.

I agree with your point about some of the traditional manufacturers forgetting their roots. You are to be respected for resisting these insidious forces.

I hope that what you say about the availability of 'classic tweed' in thrift shops doesn't come true. Maybe its just where I shop, but I am having a bit of a 'purple patch' rescuing 'needy tweed' at the moment. I have counted a JG Hardy and Bladen in the last week alone. I hope it lasts.

Its not an easy path we have chosen, but its satisfying beyond words,
we are inundated with offers from the far east by companies with unpronouncable names, no doubt we could get things made for less (in huge quantities), but its great to keep a few craftsmen going? The weavers like us too!
We'll never forget our equine/country roots, but having handled some sublime american vintage in the 70's, its natural for us to include a wider range, using our great cloths as never before? I have just acquired a bundle of USA patterns from the 40's and 50's that could be amazing, can't wait for them to arrive.So much to do, so little time. Tally Ho, Peter

I scored at Vinnies a magnificent 42R Harris tweed jacket in excellent condition today on a trip to Paddington to do something else. It is one of those marvellous window paned plaids that you never see anymore. Narrow lapels - 1960s maybe? I will try to post pix.

The color is flattering to you.
But the jacket is a bit long.
I dont see any problem w/ the pockets or collar.

And the trousers are flat front.
But the shot of HarrisonFord's costume are pleated trousers.
Which would you be going for?

Interesting RL suit. But for my taste the lapel's notch is awful high. I'm told this can add an illusion of height. To me, it makes the collar sweep back too far as if it has a hipster hoodie attached.

It certainly doesn't hurt that he has a selection of pinstripe worsteds that start at 14 ounce weight. Very Hollywood.

I forgot to mention that I love the one called "Keeper" ....but it is 700 grams! I am sure that is would drape wonderfully but I would roast in a suit made of that. Peter is looking into a light weight of that color.

700 grams converts to approx 24oz.
A fabulous weight if spending some time outdoors in the dead of winter.

Filson makes some wool trousers in this weight.

Yes indeed Matt real horn, we spend ages tracking down special buttons, the standard range we offer are great, but there is something about real horn, even they are made in the UK too.
