This month I (and my father, Louis L'Amour -- though posthumously in his case) have released two books that might interest the people of the Lounge: No Traveller Returns, in hard cover, and Yondering, in paperback ... both are also in ebook formats too.
No Traveller Returns is a novel set on a tanker ship and in San Pedro, CA, in 1939. Yondering is a new expanded edition of an older book, a collection of short stories set all over the world between 1924 and 1950. The two volumes are intertwined thematically, in their characters, and some of their locations. They are all drawn from fragments of Dad's life and the people he knew while living in similar conditions and doing similar jobs. I've included a good many historical notes in the postscripts.
This is not the first time, nor will it probably be the last, that this site helps my research and allows me to just settle into the period that I'm writing, editing or researching. So thanks again!
