Her character seems to be getting more and more impatient with Nucky - I'd say there's trouble a'brewing.

I agree, the sex/nudity is pretty tame, but couldn't they have gotten across that Mickey is a real skeeve without having him chortling over a naked stiff?

I am very much enjoying this show. The CGI background is really seemless and shows that there is a lot of technical possibility now to making some really good period pieces. I also love the suits since most movies from this era (or even about it) are black and white. It's great to see these colors and accuracy of the wardrobe.

I am really liking the increasing role of Chalky (loved Michael K Williams as Omar in The Wire) and Buscemi is doing a great job. I also really like Jimmy's blue collar outfits. That vest is awesome.

I'm enjoying this one as well. Very unique time period and subject matter that I'm not familiar with. In general my interest in modern period dramas starts in the late 1920's early 30's, but this series is holding my attention and the production values are excellent.

I have to agree with Tiller, the ride's been good so far and I suspect the plot will get darker. We see all that glamour and high times, but there's a lot more blood & dough behind it.

It's about time that we see something worth while on television. Once again, HBO has done it. I love the show's attention to detail. I hope it continues to better and better itself.

I'm curious if anyone knows what parts are CGI and which aren't? I ask because I read an article about sand being trucked in and a sizable portion of the first episode's budget going to build the "Boardwalk Set." So at least part of what we see on the boardwalk is real. Is it just the sand/platform?

You can watch some behind the scenes stuff on the Inside Boardwalk Empire homepage including time lapse footage of the construction. As you can see they built the boardwalk and the first storey of the key buildings.

Definitely loving the costume work. They've done a good job of displaying richer fabrics on Chalky and Nucky, and keeping the lesser fabrics with Jimmy and some of the other male characters. Nice storyline developing as well.

Im trying to find a leather coat like the one "Al Capone" has been wearing. Car coat length, with the belt and wool collar. Almost like a B3 but longer and belted.

Everything HBO does is just top-notch. They know how to make a good series.
Gone are the days of "Home Box Office" showing the same movie over and over again...
