Thanks for posting the travel pics Speedracer. I hope the trip went great! This color combo really is awesome and if I can find the time, I may just need one for myself. :)

Hi, Bob !
It was a fantastic trip even with a delayed luggage (6 days) and a stolen iphone in Montréal.
I really enjoyed the amazing scenery.

Yes, there was gusts of wind in the fjord and it would have been impossible to get the hat back so I attached it to the zipper of my jacket.
Another time, when I was visiting 1000 islands (Rockport), I attached it to my DSRL' strap. Every time I was on a boat I secured my hat. With the sliding button you can attach the cord to nearly anything. It's really great.

When I was in Florida I nearly lost my VS Dualist on a boat, this was the reason I asked you to put a wind trolley on the hat.

The hang loop and the wind trolley are really really useful when traveling!

Again Bob, thanks for the great hat!

My hat wardrobe was seriously lacking in hot weather gear, which is a problem in LA. Fortunately, Bob was around to help out.

First, a vintage parabuntal he put together, which is the lightest hat I have ever worn. The body, cleaning, blocking and styling, and ribbon were all supplied by Bob.

Also, a duplex! A vintage Dobbs milan that didn't get much wear because of a very stingy brim I didn't care for, so Bob duplexed (I'm making it a verb) with some vintage felt.

Very happy to have these, thanks Bob! That being said, I'm ready for felt weather...

You hit the nail on the head, Daniele. Bob Jessee is IMO about the most creative hatter out there today.

Seconded!

Great pair of warm weather hats Lexybeast, congrats. I have to admit when I first saw your post I thought it was Bob his self under the lids, the resemblance is uncanny

I thought this was a photo of Bob with a quick glance as well [emoji1]

Both those hats are fantastic, I'd happily wear either of them.

Cheers!

This Borsalino, probably from the fifties, arrived in a deal with a seller in not good condition.
It was used and abused. No lining, neither the ribbon and the sweatband was cracked
I had doubts if refurbished it or not, then I spoke with Steve (mayserwegener) and I let it go to the really far Nort East States to be restored.
It is the third Borsalino Bob worked for me.
He supplied a new sweat band and this is easy, but not the ribbon because the Borsalino has a bounded brim with a original ribbon.
Bob sent me some example and at the end he dyed this new ribbon and put an old reworked lining.
That's the result

He bashed the Borsalino like some of the hats he kindly produced

I have to say thank to Bob hoping Washington became more close to Italy
