Thanks, and no problem.

As everyone else can see, it was just my timing, and an odd confluence of circumstances.

Thanks for the help, and an order has been placed.

Sorry for the delay in checking back in here at the Lounge. I want to say that I really appreciate all the support from every body. It was fantastic to get a chance to chase a dream and my hike this summer was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. This country we live in is not only beautiful, but it is filled with some incredible people and a wonderful sense of generosity. I can't begin to list highlights as there are to many. I just want to say that if you have a dream, no matter how big or small, take the leap. It is sure to be rewarding. I put together a video of my journey which can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoaAfZertzc It might be a bit long but fitting 3000 miles into 15 minutes wasn't the easiest. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it inspires you to go get something you're after.

As for all things hats, I am happy to say we are back at it and the first hats are starting to roll out this week. You guys are amazing and I was floored by how many orders came in while I was away. Thank you all not only for being enthusiastic about our hats but also for placing orders and patiently waiting for your Wandering Hatter to come back home. I am looking forward to cranking out some new stuff and it looks like we have some great designs lined up in the queue. I also have some new ideas that we might start working on, it turns out that I still think a lot about hats even while walking in the mountains, so keep an eye out. As always, if you have any questions I am always happy to talk hats.

Great video Bob, thanks for sharing. Definitely a lot of gorgeous views. Sure looks like you put those hats through their paces too.

Sure did. Hat number one was a cuenca 5" brim. It took a real beating bushwhacking in New Mexico and its brim shape came after multiple rain and snow storms. It was so windy that I bound the brim to the wind string to block my face from the weather and the other side ended up to keep it from drooping while wet. Not the most dapper look, but it worked. Kind of Musketeer-ish I suppose.

Hat number two was 100% beaver and it lasted like a champ though 2000 miles of everyday wearing. It had wind strings also which was good foresight, turns out that it is pretty much windy the whole time on the Continental Divide. I made a few videos along the way just regarding my hat adjustments, but decided to just keep them to myself as it seemed silly.

And a note to anyone traveling. Good hats get you rides. Most of the towns along the way required a hitchhike. I had more than one person pick me up because of a "good hat".:)

Awesome trip. Thanks for the effort to record it the way you did. Amazing shots of an amazing adventure.
Having only done a few sections of the Appalachian Trail, I'm in total awe of what you did & how you documented it.
Fantastic! MANY thanks again.
