Hi Josh
I did not get a true open crown measure as i was scared to ruin the bash work & the reverse taper.

(Fun-Facts
crown height, front= 4 5/8'' side 5 5/8'' rear 4 3/4''
Brim width, 2 1/2'' with almost a 1/16 less on the sides
Leather Sweat, a whopping 2'' )

Jared is right, this not being Winchester Bunny

I was pretty clear to Bob That i only wear (Lite) light weight/feather weight Felts & i dont like liners.
He suggested this heather felt that he gets from a Millinery supply & these bodys are for huge floppy ladies hats.
He makes fancy hats for gals too..
The felt is light weight & Airy & he needed to starch ?or i forgot how he explained it for a mans fedora..
It is not hard at all its nice & squishy but retains its shape...i wore it a few times in early spring & it was not hot at all...
But i can not compare it to something like Vintage Lite-Felt or even Art's VS (Art-lite) felt
My only 100 % Bunny hat
But very nice fuzzy stuff & not as dense as some vintage heathers i have but dont wear.....
Im spoiled & cant wear dress weight..
Yea he was able to get a tall early vintage profile & i can snap the brim easy but he did Flange the brim Up (che style).

As im writing this i just noticed the box is in my den & this is a very warm room....
I have not touched this hat for 2 months & it's perfect still standing tall ...I keep all my hats in a cooler room so this is good stuff...

WoW my hat was the last posted up here before his hike & still holding
awwww here are some pics from 4-6-13:cool:

I am sending my very old Knox bowler to get a new ostrich leather sweat band. They are phenomenal ! The Ostrich Leather I had installed on my Dobbs Lords Hat is the Best!

You know, the sweatband is coming out of one of my Borsos.....it's a shame really, but it'd be a bigger shame to not wear it because it didn't have an intact sweatband..I should ship it off to Bob actually.

Yes Jared, you should. Visited with Bob yesterday and left him some projects mostly involving fit issues in vintage hats. Second Bert's opinion on the ostrich sweatbands, they are great.

Thank you everyone. I really like the ostrich leather from BS. It is so soft and you don't even know you have a hat on. It is like have a sponge between you and the hat! I still cannot make my mind up which hat I want him to make for me!

Bob answered the first email I sent last week, and the second, but not after that when I asked about something different. I did see him post on Facebook though.

Hey guys, I was out of the shop for the weekend and am trying to get caught up today.

Jhe888, I did see your email last week and it turns out that I just made a mistake in sending my response. When a contact form comes in I need to copy and paste the email address before sending other wise it just goes out into limbo. I just noticed your post here which helped me notice my error. Sorry about that I believe I just sent a response to your second inquiry and i will shoot you the original with the photos you were after. I am in the shop most of the day today so if you feel like calling, I always love to chat hats.
