I hope "YOU JIVE M.F.!" doesn't work its way into my conversations after seeing this, but it may be an uphill battle...

I'm a huge fan of Blaxploitation; there was a tv station (can't remember which one) that used to show a lot of it on the weekends: "Cotton Comes To Harlem", "Coffy", et. al.

Pam Grier is one of my archtypes. Marry me, Pam....

That looks like a really fun movie. I too am a closet blacksploitation film fan. I use to catch everything I could from "Blackula" to "Mandingo" and "Cotton Comes to Harlem" has always been one of my favorites ever since I saw it as a youngling.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Rudy Ray Moore after a gig about ten years ago. He was rather frail and his health was failing but he was as funny and profane as ever!! Still every inch the defiant Dolemite.

And on the subject of Ms Pam Greer, if anyone saw "Jackie Brown" they know she has aged beautifully and is as foxy as ever. If anyone has the good sense to make "Foxy Brown II", you can rest assured I'll be first in line at the premier.

:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap TOTALLY LIVED UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS - FUNNIEST OF THE DECADE (IMHO). Movie was EXACTLY like the trailers, but MORE. I generally can't STAND 1970's-style cinema (more into 30's and 40's), but this is just Hilarious (for all the WRONG reasons), because they take it Way, Way Over The Top in 70's-style vulgarity and loudness - no one ever made the 70's look so bad.

Most important for ANY movie: You can Really Tell that they truly LOVED what they were doing when they made this movie. Can't wait till February to own it on DVD. (BTW, - it's NOT family-friendly...)

alright!

Yes indeed, utterly hilarious, I must confess that I had to watch a pirate copy as it has no distribution in this country and none is on he horizon, but hopefully I can make up for it by totally recommending it as the funniest movie I've seen in a LONG time, so why don't y'all over there in the US of A git off yo asses and go see it!
If ya don't you is guilty of KUNG FU TREACHERY!
