BK Surrogate in Action!

Okay, so I'm going to embarrass myself big time, but back when my daughters were little I used to make home movies about a French Adventurer (a la Indiana Jones). It was all they'd watch. Cartoons? Nah... they'd ask me to put on more "Pierre". Drove my wife nuts! But friends and family loved the episodes.

So now that we're in quarantine and everyone could use a laugh or two, and even though my daughters are now too old to care, I resurrected the aging character after a decade...and this time he wears a Bill Kelso Surrogate/Californian. The jacket sees quite a bit of action, with nary a stitch out of place! Always fun to find ways to become a kid again.

Enjoy... if you've got a second to chuckle, and want to see a leather jacket steal the show, give it a watch...

Rolling down the hill was impressive. Even real movies don't do it that extremely sometimes :D

Jacket looks great as do the watch and hat

That was a lot of fun, thanks for sharing.

Interesting to see how much abuse the jacket is taking, there have been a few comments Over the years that BK jackets aren't very robust, these seems to dispute that.

That was hilarious and fun to watch! Just like when I’m watching TV or movies I kept saying “Damn, that is a cool ass jacket”.

That’s a sweet jacket! I was critical about the sleeve length when you first posted it but it has now broken in beautifully and the turn up cuffs look indeed cool. One of the most interesting half-belt seen on here. I think this shows how owning fewer jackets is better than owning several that never get any wear. Well done!

Forever the stunt man Tommer! Expertly done..!!
. Haha thanks HD! Hope you're well, bud. I was getting a bit antsy with no action...had to do something about it! My wife wasn't too pleased when she watched it..she was like "Come on man you weren't even getting paid!"

I'll tell ya, this thing is built like a tank. If I had any complaint... and it would be nitpicking..it would be that the lining slightly hangs below the back of the jacket. Other than that, this thing appears to be indestructible.

Awesome!!! Better than Crystal Skull! Man, you're the coolest dad ever. And yeah, this is how you break in a leather jacket. No forest in sight, though... :(
lol! Having worked on both Crystal Skull and LaCarve... I'd have to agree! After working on CS back in '07 I had the same guy who made the hats for the film make my Indy hat.

Haha right!? Even as I was editing it I kept saying "Man that jacket is the coolest."

Thank you! The button flaps on the cuff stick out kinda far, but yeah all in all it's a pretty decent look. I don't mind it.

Oh, you worked on that one?? Man, that's so cool. You know, I thought the movie was an absolutely perfect Indy movie until the moment they get captured by the Russians, right after the Peruvian tomb. Up until that moment, all the action scenes were so on point. That motorcycle chase was brilliant. And everyone was making fun of the nuke the fridge scene but it was just so much fun. Charming, naive and plain fun.
But after the tomb, the movie just turns into a CGI fest. Like they gave up on it half a way through.

Yeah it was a CGI fest, man. And I've always thought Industrial Light and Magic does the worst CGI, too. Their stuff always looks so fake. Really takes away from what you're watching. Like the CGI gopher in the opening credits... I was already out! I also didn't like the lead Russian guy... he was just corny. The movie had some great sequences.. like the caravan through the jungle was pretty epic. But the swinging on vines with monkeys? Yikes.

Very nicely done Tommer! I had a family member years back who chain smoked cigars about like those - wonder if there'a relation? Very neat action in that movie and especially rolling down the hill I thought- "This is how you brake in a Lost Worlds jacket!"

Hope Episode 2 arrives before 2029....:)
