I just went to their website, and I found that the price is in £ now, but the figure remains same... eg, westfall £700, used to be 700 euro, and the hourse A2 is £400 now, used to be 400 euro... and All the original contract A2 are £740 now...can any one in Euro/US checks the price please?

Yes, but a smart way...

I don't know, it's a bit dishonest IMO! They are not even in the UK.

I have nothing against a clear " due to increase in production cost we have to increase our prices to x", but just being sly about it and changing the currency is not right...

Considering they spend their time letting the world know their new leather is "the best in the world" each time they get a new batch, you would think they could let people know they are increasing the prices...

I notice Aero put up the price of thier Type 3 in leather by 100 squid too. Now 550 although you get a tartan lining with it if you want.

I agree with you. I dont know if their new leather is best of not, I even dont what kind leatehr it is now due to the name they use...is it Victory or Liberty? I really dont like this kind of name since it is really hard to link with quality of the leather.

They just said they will use horsehide on their house A2 again, and they call that leather Mark 3...so I assume there will be a price raise, but I didnt expect this way.

$1100 USD seems high to me, but I'm used to 2010 pricing. I have little to no incentive these days to spend +$1000 on a jacket (a lightly used GW or Himel being excluded parties :D ;) )

Aha! I had not noticed that, my mistake. I think the price variation simply comes from the new medium weight steer that they've just introduced.

That's pretty damn sneaky. I think this might come back and bite BK on the arse, there will be quite a few who'll go with ELC or Aero now.

I've been one who has complained about their tactics practically since they came on the scene. At first I thought it might be a cultural thing...but then it seemed their odd maneuvering only worsened. Instead of content at staying with the idea of a reasonable priced good quality jacket..they expanded out in every direction even with vendor problems with hardware and then maintaining hides. Much of the extreme fanfare came from themselves overshadowing any customer good reviews. There were good reviews but it seemed that for some reason customers didn't pick it up and run with it like they did some other jacket makers in the beginning. I don't think it was because of anything negative with the jackets themselves..but maybe because of odd practices..and unability to keep stock consistently. Seems they tend to get the cart before the horse. Supplywise and now with price..and these suspicious tactics that leave customers wondering. Yet that doesn't seem to bother BK whatsoever. Their affiliate thread here was abandoned for mainly Facebook advertising. They want to compete with the big boys..but it really does take a responsible type of business sense to stay relevant.

No doubt you-know-who will be here with some convoluted, specious explanation, probably with some apples-and-oranges analogy thrown in for good measure.:eusa_doh:
