Birds...

a former girlfriend got me interested in birds/birding... I'm not an avid kind of person, but they are great fun... the most amazing thing I've seen so far was an Eastern Screech Owl sitting on my back porch. The Jays and Mockingbirds were having fits... but what a beautiful bird he was!!!

I need some better glasses though...

We have a Ruby-throated Hummingbird making the rounds everyday and I get so much enjoyment out of him. I cannot wait for migration. We don't get too many song birds.

A new addition are the Cedar Waxwings. Those are very pretty. I also saw the Red-bellied Woodpecker again. He is also one of my favorites.

Migration has started here...butterflies and dragonflies are passing through. Hawks and eagles passing overhead, as well.
