My friends and I used to play some bingo at this hall around here. We were the youngest, at 20. The scene was great... catty older women chain smoking with their little bingo charms. We won a couple of times, but nothing huge. The pot got really big, though... I think up to $8k one night! We never really had the food, though everything was pretty cheap.

Thanks! Love your description, too.

This made me smile. PSG, you think up the funnest stuff!

My 15 year old daughter was a coffee/snack server at a bingo event the school hosted for seniors. The old geezers kept hitting on her!!

Thanks! I like to have fun and win prizes.

I think I want to be an older Bingo lady with charms that hits on young men. But 15 years old, yikes!

If you really want some fun, go to a Beano tent at one of the agricultural fairs -- the stakes aren't usually as high, but there's plenty of lemonade and fried dough to go around, and if you run out of cards to play you can always take a break on the ferris wheel.

My mother used to be a regular at such tents -- she won half my baby toys at Union Fair.

I actually took this picture last year at the fair. :) I didn't play, though.

I'd love to find a place that still uses those hand cranked Bingo cages.
