Biltmore / Miller question

I'm aware that Biltmore makes most of Miller Hats' own name hats, but I was wondering if the Indy hat line that says "custom style for Miller Hats" are also Biltmores, or comparable in quality? I'm not talking about the licensed versions with the pins, but the others, like the open crown version, the center crease, and all the variants. I know somebody who wants an Indy-like hat in that price range, and he really likes the felt of the Miller I have. Plus, he's considering Black. Anybody in the know?

They are all Biltmores. I've seen them and touched them. The liner says something like "Miller Hats, Simply the Best, made by the Biltmore Hat Co, Canada".

Even their Indiana Jones hat, Indie Miller and so on...

If you get a Miller signature hat, you're getting a Biltmore, period.

A slight diversion from the thread...

I noticed that one Adam fedora I saw was labeled "by Miller Bros." Was Adam always a part of Miller Bros., and if so was it a high- or low-line product? Is/was Miller Hats the same as Miller Bros. (still making cowboy types) and Biltmore as well?

Hmm...there are no stupid questions - just a lot of inquisitive idiots!

I'm glad to hear you've actually touched them, Biltmore Bob! Could you tell me if the crown on the open crown version is soft and easy to shape? Do you know if it's softer than the Akubra Feds?

I don't know much about the Fereration, but I hear it's one stiff Mother. The Biltmores that I own are sort of soft, relatively...compared to my Western Hats, that is. I think you will be able to hand shape an open crown Biltmore easily enough.
