Josh, I'm glad you got that one. Its got the dimensions you love and it fits!!

Thanks, Garrett! I was shocked that it fit. I've never had a 6 7/8 that fit this well. Whats funny is that the size 7 western I received on the same day is a bit tight. I guess I can't win them all. LOL.

Josh, Great find! It looks fantastic! Beautiful form and finish!

Thanks so much, Steve! I was shocked when I found the white and reddish-brown furs mixed in with the black furs. Its really a pretty finish up close.

Continuing last year's buys. Again instead of the typical new hats thread I thought to revive an old one.

Biltmore velour in 7&1/8, wears smaller though, so it fits nicely.

Quite hard to capture color and sheen on this one. It's actually gray but looks brown under certain light.

Initially I thought I would use that one as a beater in the cold winter days, though I must say I am impressed by the quality of that lid. It's not like a pre war Huckel but it is in par with other European post war ones that I own.

Many many thanks to Brent for finding, buying and sending this one to me, couldn't be happier :)

I know Biltmore gets poo poo'd quite a bit, but I've been searching for a true vintage one for quite a long time. Bonus that it's a green velour without being in the Tyrolean style. The silvery grey hatband against the emerald green body really makes it pop.

To reiterate @PanosChris's point above this is definitely a quality hat. I'd put it on par with or ahead of any of the more popular makers from the 50s or earlier. If you want you sleep on vintage Biltmore you're a f***ing idiot.
