If you go to the Canadian National War Museum website , you will find that one of his huge long open convertibles is in their collection.

This is true. It is my understanding, though, that while they were all the same model Mercedes, each, being custom built, differed slightly in small details such as trim, vent window attachments and so on, that they can be distinguished in photos from one another by the trained eye.

There is a famous photo of Floyd Talbert (101st Para 506th) standing on one of Hitlers staff car. This staff car was at Hitler's "Eagles Nest" that the 101st had secured. Floyd was ordered to turn it over (it was Floyds new "ride") so to spite the Officers he drain the radiator and drove it around till it siezed. He the proceeded to Pump 30-06 AP rounds into it to test it Bullet Proofness. It was then he forked it over.

At the museum I used to volunteer at in Burbank (suburb of L.A.) there was (and likely still is) one of Hitler's Mercedes staff cars...and it still had Nazi symbols on it.

I believe that there are several of Hitler's cars about. I recall seeing this one at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.

The sort of car that will get you noticed....
