When I showcased my Terminator 2, people don’t dig the pebbles, & they are not even as regular as this.

I was trying to find pics of your Terminator 2...couldn't find em though.

Yeah the horsehide pebbling on mine is definitely a bit goaty. Some panels are pretty smooth.. I'm looking forward to seeing how they compare over time.

Just one last question Tommer45 - did you request a different chest pocket zipper pull? The original and the one in the movie has rings not the ball and chain pull.

Yep...I loved the jacket in the movie but didn't need an exact replica, and didn't care about being accurate to anything vintage. I just picked the zipper pull I liked best on the BK website.

Also, I just heard back from Andy and he's processed my refund for the interior pockets and even offered to swap the lining for free and install new pockets for free. I've read about some BK drama in the past but I've had nothing but a top notch, totally professional experience.

great looking jacket congrats, bruce willis jacket is too big and long on him , personally I would take the inside pocket offer, the only way to store phone and wallet safely when in crowded place without carrying a man purse

Yeah some have said this about the jacket. I hate the long sleeve length but the torso is fine. Bruce likes jackets like this. He has been wearing his Surrogates in his civilian life for a few years.

Too big and too long works for the scruffy middle-aged gent. I prefer that fit- if I wore a size down, I'd look like a greying git going loose everywhere but the sausage skin I'd forced myself into. Better to be loose all over. :)

Works for me. I do find fitted jackets often look ghastly - not just on me but the kids too. Loose but not voluminous is the ticket.

I am definitely in agreement. Things that are form-fitting don't work on me because my form - even when fit - just doesn't need attention drawn to it. I'd happily live in flannel shirts, Carhartts and a Highwayman. When in doubt, go a bit slack- but never sweat pants. If you're wearing sweat pants outside the apartment, you have gone off the rails in at least one area of life...

Best quote ever! Way too many grown men in sweatpants in my town. Even my 10 year old daughter brought up to me how not a single boy in school wears jeans..only sweatpants.

As for the jacket I'll have my kids take some fit pics today.

There was an original 40s-50s period vintage leather jacket on Bruce Willis in "Surrogates". Not a replica, but an original.
Originals are always look best, esp. in such good condition like that one which Bruce Willis has been wearing in the movie.
Though a repro from BK is a very nice jacket too, very nice looking jacket. Nice leather, nice work, nice pattern. Very nice jacket.

Sweat pants outside the apartment mean that you haven't even been bothered to get properly dressed before heading out. If you are ever drunk in sweat pants in the morning and outside you're pretty much climbing into the dumpster.

That would be the photo or phone video that got taken before an intervention- there you are, weaving around at 10 30AM, almost tripping over your own feet, little fella visibly banging around in your sweatpants and everyone slightly too embarrassed to say anything about the two day beard, and you trying to be all good-humoured about it. They're the kind of item that visually preps you for recovery later, but also signal that all the usual voices of reassurance have gone and that assistance will soon be needed.

Very nice acquisition. As I've gotten older I too have come to appreciate lighter weight jackets, especially living in Texas. My FQHH Teamster doesn't get worn a great deal where I live due to our relative short cold seasons.

Yes agreed! This spring I sold my beloved heavy Aero LHB, heavyweight cowhide Langlitz Cascade, and one of my Schotts. Oh yeah and my Legendary Wild Stallion (although that thing fit me like a glove). Gimme lightweight comfort now at my ripe old age of 41!

The open lining allows for repairs and helps prevent sagging. I'd really like it if more of my jackets had this.

It's interesting - I've never seen it on a shorter jacket before. Plenty of long overcoats, though. I can see it working for a short jacket to stop droop (though TBH I've never had that problem on a higher end jacket). Maybe makes it easier to replace a liner if needs be later on - I do recall one of Ken's objections the the leather strip that many paid £50 for on an Aero in the Lauder era was that it would make it much harder (and also more expensive for the customer) to replace the lining in due course.

Willis' jacket was an original?!?
I thought it was a Tony Nowak replica of an original Californian.

The only jackets I've ever owned with lining droop are Aeros. My latest, a brand new half-belt in Vic, started drooping about 4 weeks in.

I used to think the movie jacket was a TN original too. Pretty certain now I was wrong. Nowak obviously made some jackets for the movie - you can see them on pics of stunt doubles, etc. The jacket Willis wears about town has real world, decades old wear on it that no one has ever been able to reproduce.
