Forgive me if there is already a post on this.

Where is the best place to purchase a hand-knit Aran sweater?

Thanks,
Philalethes

Note: When I viewed this post once, there was a link to ebay that I had not put in here. I am guessing some sort of spyware.

If you're not worried about it being Aran, Inverallan over in Scotland produce some of the nicest hand knitted sweaters you'll find

I have a crewneck and two cardigans from Inverallan. The quality is unbelievable. I've never seen such a heavy, tightly-knitted weave.

Hi, I read your post a few days ago and thought of it today as I was flipping through one of the eight billion Christmas catalogues that came in the last three days and noticed this sweater (link below) in the "The Field" catalogue.

I had never even heard of this company before the catalogue arrived, so I have no idea if its products are of high quality and good value; although, they look nice in the catalogue, but thought you'd want to see the sweater and perhaps others have bought from this company and have an opinion.
