I just received these Kerr Leathers gloves. Very well made, not sure how old they are but are new with tag.
Leather gloves at -15 is a very bad idea.I am looking for some relatively stylish leather gloves that can withstand about -15C Polish winters. Any ideas? Something that would fit with an Irvin jacket.
Happy with any kind of woolen or whatever lining, does that not exist? Something like this perhaps: https://www.kinco.com/901-lLeather gloves at -15 is a very bad idea.
You're much better off with sheepskin / mouton / shearling gloves. Even if you line leather gloves the leather cooling will partly cancel out the warmth of the lining. Best thing in cold weather are high quality double walled wool mittens.Happy with any kind of woolen or whatever lining, does that not exist? Something like this perhaps: https://www.kinco.com/901-l
That is a very good point. I have a pair of military leather gloves that have wool inserts. They do the job, but when it gets really cold (not that it does anymore), they are not great. Not bad, but not great either. But i got them for $8 at an army/navy surplus store and the leather is very good, so there's that. You're much better off with sheepskin / mouton / shearling gloves. Sheepskin is leather yes? Wool, shearling whatever on the inside, anything that gets the job done. I just want it to be leather on the outside. You're much better off with sheepskin / mouton / shearling gloves. Heh, depends on how broadly do you want to take it. When I say leather jacket I DON'T mean a shearling one. But yeah, in this case I mean that by wearing "regular" leather outer shell winter gloves (especially if it actually gets cold) you're doing yourself a disservice. At least that's what I have noticed personally. Obviously only my opinion.Sheepskin is leather yes?
Ok then there is some misunderstanding regarding the definition. For me a sheepskin jacket is a leather jacket. I will look into some sheepskin gloves that are shearling lined.Heh, depends on how broadly do you want to take it. When I say leather jacket I DON'T mean a shearling one. CRUD have finally put up the model and size that I wanted most on their sample-sale:

Ordered a pair of these, will see how they hold up:

Definitely not cheap, but 90eu is easier to swallow than 130-140eu full price.
And they are the best looking gloves that I've ever seen by a long shot.
15eu for shipping a pair of gloves sucks though.
Will post a few pictures when they arrive or after I've worn them for a bit.

Hestra.Do any of you know any maker of gloves that is located in Europe?
Buying outside is a huge no. Shipping, taxes, custom duties, etc. hassle to return…
I’d love to give gauntlet type gloves a try to put over my leather jacket sleeve.

Good idea thanks! You can use mittens or thin softshell gloves and "layer" them with with wool-lined leather gloves. Just buy a pair you like one size up.
I sometimes do that when I need to take off the (outer) gloves to do some delicate stuff for which I need grip or even for handling my smartphone. That way, your fingers are not directly exposed to the elements. The outer glove then traps the heat. Works ok, although you may not like the (lack of) feel of two layers of gloves.
