My border collie/blue heeler - Inu. Japanese for Dog.

Very cool name. :) A friend of mine in Central FL named one of her doggies Inu, and the other Odie. I think hers are little dogs (dachshund and jack russell terrier).

Many years ago, a girl I went to school with had a dog named "Dammit". This caused some confusion. If her Dad yelled, "Sit, Dammit!" one of the school girls always found a seat pdq! It was hard to know if he was yelling at the dog or the girls!

I'm watching Turner Crack Movies. They're playing Merrily We Live (1938), a light Hal Roach screwball directed by Norman Maine, oops, I mean McLeod.

Anyway, Benita Granville comes into the room with 2 floppy eared Great Danes and introduces them to dashing Brian Aherne thusly:

"This dog's name is Get Off The Rug.
And this one's name is You Too."

Man, I can't remember if I've seen that movie or not... I'll have to pick it up... sounds like my kind of film.

Those names are perfect "Get Off The Rug" and "You Too"... lol lol lol!!! Man, I'm rollin'!

Going to re-name our cat to (Stop That) She sleeps on the hood of my Plymouth, gets paw prints all over the poor thing and made a mess of the spare room's carpet... shouldn't have given the thing milk. Bad move.:eusa_doh:

Yep, that's going to be the Cat's middle name! STOP THAT! lol

My dog's name is Taz because she is a whirlwind like the cartoon & you'd swear she is all tongue at times.
My wife said her name should've been "No, No Bad Dog!"

The only thing I share with royalty is my love of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I have had a series named Queenie, Buckingham, etc., but the one I miss most was named Tillie (she came to me as an already named young adult). In short order, because of her manner, she became Royal Resident Corgi or RC. When she was miffed about anything, she grumbled to herself...I swear she grumbled.

Some of the dogs (those I can remember) that my family has had over the years: Gwendolyn, Stuff, Barney, Ginger (An Irish Setter - go figure!) and George.

Good thing this isn't a cat name thread: I'd fill it up! lol

Dexter. I named him after C. K. Dexter Haven (Cary Grant) from The Philadelphia Story. He was a part basset, part spaniel. What a personality! My wife and I miss him terribly.

I have a Jack Russel Shi-Tsu mix. She's a total sweetheart. My girlfriend has quite the addiction to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and we thought it was only fitting to give out 4 legged friend an adequate name. Since she has a black spot that covers one eye.... we names her Davie Bones! lol

He she is on one of my trips to Lowe's to pick up some paint.
