Thanks for posting that picture, Shearer. The Portrait Pink is lovely! I've been wanting to try it for so long, as I LOVE light pink lipstick, but held off because of the price (unfortunately, I can't participate in the liquidation sale because the only accepted payment method is Paypal, which I don't use). I may have to give in now though...

You're welcome! I think it's a great mod/early 60s era pink. When I first tried it on I thought it was too light, but I'm really liking it the more I use it. It's hard to find a good pink, just like it's hard to find a good red. I don't like any sparkle in my pink... just a nice matte, and this lippy's got that in spades ;)

Post a photo of your pink lips. I want to see what the color looks like.

I mostly don´t like pink lipstick on me, but I loved the pink one that came in the set. I have a pale olive-ish skin and it fits well with it. It has a very natural and casual look and is great for daily use.

My samples finally got here! I got just about every red they had...so far I've only really worn the Besame Red, which I think is a bit bright for me and the Red Velvet which I've just fallen in love with.....oh I just know this is going to be detrimental to the bank account, but this is one of the few lipsticks that I've tried that I'm actually willing to spend money on......It wore all day and I never touched it up! even after eating it still looked good. I was surprised normally I have to use a sealer thingy to keep it from coming off.

Am I being dumb?

I'm on the Besame site and I can no longer see the option to buy samples...I see the sample page which talks about them being free with a purchase, but that if you only want samples your order won't be processed. Plus when you add them to your cart they come up as free, and there's no option for sample shipping. Have they stopped selling them or amI looking in the wrong place?

Oh, wow! They must have just changed this! I ordered some samples last week, got them and then made a purchase based on the samples. It does say that you get 3 samples with every purchase. But you must make a purchase to get the samples. I knew some people were just buying the samples instead of the full product because you could stretch out the samples for a while. Guess those days are gone. :( I'm not sure if I like this policy or not, but their return policy says you can return anything if you don't like the color.

FYI: I ordered my samples on the 17th and then placed a regular order on Tues. the 22nd after I received the samples. The website didn't look like this on Tues. the 22nd.

Hehehe, I just saw this! I forgot about Wrinkies and Frownies! I may have to track some down. My sister swears up and down I'm scrunching my forehead in that pic, but that didn't stop me from buying some Boots #7.

At least it will give me peace of mind for trying something lol

Oh wow :( I just checked the site and sadly I think you're all right.

I've never tried Besame, but luckily, I ordered some samples about a week ago, so hopefully they get here soon!

I wonder if you could contact them for samples? That would be tragic if they no longer provide them.

As it is, if they ever stop making Bisque foundation, I'll be riddled with despair.

The "dark" compact I got when Besame was liquidating discontinued colors has become even more useful now that it's summer - the dark translucent powder matches my tan skin!

So I can use the entire compact except the concealer! Awesome!

No Besame on eBay

Have you noticed they're not selling on eBay anymore? I've saved them as a favorite seller and have been checking for several weeks and nothing. I sure hope they'll try to sell again soon because you can get some great bargains.
