Can any of you gals describe how pale the palest & middle Besame powders are? I'd like to get one, but I have no idea which one would match me. I always have this problem!!

I haven't tried the new pale powder yet, but the old light powder is a little bit too dark for me, but not horrible, I bought the loose powder instead. I can't wear their foundations at all, they are too dark. I am a light ivory complexion, but with a little pink. I can usually wear the lightest ivory foundation in the drugstore.

You didn't mention what skin tone you have. If you have a hard time finding foundations that are light enough, then the new porcelain might be for you. If you wear beige or nude foundation instead of ivory then maybe the light is better.

I noticed that Besame is taking pre-orders for their souflee foundation again (in new packaging), but I am not sure if they'll have a new color light enough for me. I might check out their stuff at ReVamp Vintage later this month, and if I do I will make a report here.

Ah, right. Well, typically I find that makeup usually looks either too pink or too orange for me. I am quite fair skinned -- I cannot tan even if I get a lot of sun, for instance.

Perhaps I'll try the new porcelain one. Thanks so much for your help!

I am a really pale redhead. I also have a hard time finding the right shade for foundations and I lean towards using powder foundation. Currently I am using Lumiere mineral foundation in the lightest shade beige/neutral and come back with Laura Mercier Smooth Focus Pressed Setting Powder - Shine Control (the green one). I also have a lavender loose powder that I use on occasion that gives that Moulin Rouge pale glow to my skin. Most foundations are usually too dark, too yellow or too pink. And, as for shade I need nearly white with just a touch of beige tone. I can use bare minerals but even their lightest shade I cut with MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microfinish Powder, to lighten it. I am interested in trying the Besame pwd foundation. I love their lipsticks so want to give the powder foundation a try. But, not being able to see it for myself it has me worried because of the cost. Would love some feedback from anyone who has tried it.

I was just wondering if anyone had tried the Besame lipstick in Carmine? I'm quite pale so was just wondering how 'orangey' it is? Also has anyone bought the new bigger sized lipstick, it £22 from What Katie Did just wondering if it was worth the extra? :)

I have Carmine lipstick too. It is pretty orange (also coral, pinkish), but it works for me being a redhead. I don't have the bigger lipstick yet, because my old ones aren't gone yet. I've tried it though; the formula is lighter and more moisturizing, and not as matte.

Hi all
Just thought Id let the New Zealand girls that I have started importing Besame to New Zealand and that you will soon be able to purchase the products directly from me - via my party plan business "The Vanity Case", or on my website. Am I allowed to put the website address on here??
BTW - just got my initial shipment and OMG, Besame is every bit as good as i imagined and Red Velvet - KNOCKOUT for us redheads!

This is the Debutante Pink. I LOVE it! It has a completely different feel than their reds, very moisturizing and doesn't need a lip liner at all.

I just want to revive this thread to share some photos of my new Brightening Violet Powder. I've only used it a couple of times, but I really like it. It has a soft violet scent, reminds me of one of my favorite perfumes, Penhaligon's Violetta.

It's very translucent. I can't see any of the violet tint on my face but I do notice that it looks brighter, not at all shimmery- it's matte, but somehow it's brighter.

Thanks for the heads up, Isis. I normally do buy from there, too, and they do stock it, but I was hoping to get it for $11 rather than £22! Oh, well!
