lol lol lol me too! I think I have one of everything at least..

What am I crazy? :D I think the only thing I don't have coming in the mail is the dark foundations and lip glazes. I can't get into lip glaze...my husband wont kiss me if I wear any.

I don't like them either - it's going to my sister-in-law :D

I hope that whatever Besame's "reformulation" plan is, that the products are as nice as what they had. I am sort of sorry I never ordered sooner, but glad that I got to take advantage of their sale. I love the lipsticks and shadows.

Is it a bad thing that I told hubby I want a wall mounted TV so I can free up my pretty table to turn it into a vanity so I have somewhere to display my shiny things? I'm on the hunt for a pretty framed table mirror now, preferably vintage, of course ;)

I have my doubts about what Besame is going to do next with their "new" line. Something just smacks of 'going out of business' but I remain hopeful. I mean, isn't it a bit more than weird that a company whose mission was to create beautiful makeup with the old school formulations, would change what they originally intended to do? hmm.. just a though.

As far as having a vanity.. every gal should have their own place. It is not a bad thing to have a vanity...or a vanity area. I say, take up half the room if you have to! LOL lol

:eek:fftopic: Are you wearing Besame in your new avatar? You are gorgeous, just gorgeous!

I agree it does seem odd, but I am hopeful as well :)

:eek:fftopic: And yes, I am wearing some Besame in my avatar, thank you very much :)

I have on the Besame Shadows in beige and brown, and the Besame Red Lipstick and the Sun-Kissed rouge, as well as the translucent powder.

I don't recall what foundation I was wearing (i am "test driving" a few) but I suspect it was good old Max Factor Panstick.

Here's a better picture.

That picture is fabulous. I love Panstick, I have test driven quite a few, and i always return to Panstick. It never fails me. :D

I ordered on Aug 2, as well and am starting to get antsy. I'm so excited about my lipsticks. I wish I could place another order, as I've finally gotten tired of my Mary Kay moisturizer, but I won't have any money until after they say the sale is done.

:) I'm broke until after the sale is over too, in fact I was broke before I placed my first order lol. good thing my credit card is 0% interest for another 6 months!

or you can join me in a cosmetics 12-step program ;)

lol I may have to. bought enough to last me quite a while, and since I don't wear much make-up at work (since it's a hardware store... it's just a waste of good product), and I won't be wearing a lot while I'm going back to school, I think I've got about 3 years worth of make-up arriving hehe. I've read that you can put lipstick in the fridge or the freezer (does that really help preserve it?), but can you put shadow or mascara, or even the loose powder in there to keep it "fresh"? my house get's pretty hot and I don't want it to get ruined.

I actually asked Besame this question a while back regarding my purchase. Lipstick and moisturizer can be kept in the fridge which preserves them longer, but loose powder and eye shadow should not be kept in the fridge or anywhere damp.

It is such a shame that the sale ends today. The intrnational shipping rates are ridiculously high so I can´t order some more stuff :(

They told me they don't ship internationaly, I've been ordering al my stuff from revamp...
Yesterday my shipping arrived, including the 30's mascara. I love their stuff but I am disapointed by the mascara, when I came home I had racoon eyes. A:eek: anyone else had that problem or I just blink too much?;)

Wel, they did international shipping barely two months ago and they do it today as they announced in a newsletter. However the shipping is so ridiculous high that it just doesn´t pay off for me. I´d pay more for the things including the shipping in the sale than buying it at the original price in Germany. I´d love to take more advantage of the sale, however in that case it just won´t do :(

I´m sad to hear about the 30s mascara as I inteded to buy it, too.

Well, I'm going to try it again, since yesterday we were going on the motorcycle and it was really hot, but since my maxfactor can deal with that kind of treatment I wish the 30's mascara could aswell. anyways I let you know...

I placed an order last Friday and got a tracking number in my inbox today. Will be hopping about from one foot to the other until the stuff arrives!

Storing extra cosmetics:

I do keep my extra unopened lipsticks in the freezer (and nail polish in the fridge when I lived in hot places).

Here are a couple links on the storage and longevity:

http://beauty.about.com/od/makeuptrickstips/a/shelflife.htm

Edited to add: That is a very good point Cherry Lips made about not storing powered cosmetics in the fridge or anywhere damp. I don't keep my makeup in the bathroom for that reason. I think as long as they remain unopened (and maybe sealed in a zipper bag or even better if you have a vacuum food sealer) they should stay okay for a while. You can always sell them in the classifieds as we run out ;)

Update: Lipstick Sets and International Shipping

I just placed another order, and all lipstick sets are sold out. The pink and neutral show up as an option, but when you put them in your cart it gives you a message telling you they're sold out. The red set is still listed but won't give me the option of adding to the cart. On the bright side, all of the lipstick shades seem to still be available individually.

Because this is such a deal, anyone international interested in ordering and having it shipped to me in CA to save on costs, PM me ASAP.
