Sad (and bad) news from Laulhère: no more vintage labels reinstated as a new company policy.
Some six years ago, while visiting the Laulhère company in Oloron Sainte Marie, I discovered a shelf loaded with old beret labels; labels that had not been used for many decades, and managed to persuade Laulhère to reinstate these on berets for South Pacific Berets.
This resulted in new editions of vintage labels like the Bortia, Chirola, Etchea, l'Aiglon, Rafale and the beret of the Chasseurs Ardennais carrying the Vrai Basque label.
I am truly very sorry I won't be able to reorder berets with these labels anymore.
The 'Classic Workers Berets', Rafale's and Etchea's in stock now are the very last berets you could possibly find with these labels (apart from 40+ year old moth-eaten vintage models on sites like Ebay).
And yes, also the beret of the Chasseurs Ardennais with Vrai Basque label won't be reproduced anymore.
The l'Aiglon has already sold out. If you want to own a piece of true French beret history, order now (as long as stock lasts...).
