Bencraft Hats: ALESSANDRIA Model in Benaco

I was looking for a meduim slate gray color ( I wanted something a little lighter than the steel that is still a cool gray) which looks to be the color Bencraft calls Benaco. Could I have Bencraft make or order the ALESSANDRIA in a Benaco? How long would this take, and how much would it be?

I know that Peters Brothers in Texas has or had Borsalino Alessandrias. I bought one a few years ago--my first new hat I believe.

Why not give Bencraft a call, or PM Besdor via the lounge?

It seems that you know exactly what you want, is a VS out of the question? I bet it wouldn't be much more than a custom-ordered Borsalino.

When I was in NYC in August JJ Hat center had off the rack rabbit Borso Alessandria for $325 I think. That was the reason I didn't buy it, came home, and ordered a hat from Art in 100% beaver. Just me though, but if you don't mind waiting it might be a better value for your money. Exact color, shape, size and style you want for a really good price.

Wow, JJ really charges a premium - a couple of weeks ago a friend picked up an Alessandria from Bencraft in taupe for $230 - a nice lid.
