I don't think the colorization adds much to most of these, and it sometimes looks unrealistically oversaturated, like 1938 Technicolor. (Which is of course wonderful in The Wizard of Oz, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Gone With The Wind, etc., but it's not naturalistic.)

But then, I grew up working in my parents' b&w photo studio, so I probably have a lot more affection and respect for b&w photography than most...

The work looks pretty good, but I wonder how they determined Einstein's shorts were blue if they only had shades of grey to look at. And if Lincoln's jacket was really such a bad match to his vest, I would have preferred to not have seen the color version.

Yes, interesting, but I would rather appreciate B&W as it is.

(Audrey Hepburn looks great no matter what though.)
